You are going about your research all wrong! Go to COMMON, attend
every lab on ILE RPG that Jon Paris gives. Keep the handouts. Buy
him a beer. And if your training fails then contract him to come to
your site and do the training.

Subject: ILE Training...

Hi All,

Help!!!

I made the mistake of telling my manager that we could use some training on
ILE, so *guess* who she assigned to do the research and give a class??? Yep -
ME!!!!
Well, of course I don't have a clue as to where to start - Can anybody
recommend a good "laymans" book (Bob?), web site, etc. on the ILE specific
stuff, like what's the difference between a "bound" program and a "service"
program and a "procedure" (program?) and how are they coded different and how
are they compiled different, etc... We all code in RPG IV but only a few of us
can take advantage of the ILE "cool" stuff...
Thanx in advance,
Jerry
