A CHAIN loop by RRN.

I've been watching this thread and you are having difficulty getting what you
want, so I'm left wondering if you are trying to use SFLNXTCHG for something
other than what it was intended for.

We use SFLNXTCHG in every subfile program we write with great success.

We have SFLNXTCHG conditioned by an indicator and this indicator is off when we
load the subfile.
When a user types an option number in the options column then presses ENTER, we
go into a READC loop.
For each record with an option, we validate the request, if valid we call the
appropriate program, change the option value to blanks and update the subfile
record or we turn on the SFLNXTCHG indicator and update the subfile record.

This is all we use it for and it works for us.
