Probably the fastest performance for AS/400 database access from the PC
worlds, today, seems to be using sockets programming. A prime example is the
mrc-productivity series from Michaels, Ross & Cole, Ltd. in Lombard, IL.

For easy of programmer access to AS/400 data, VisualAge RPG is probably the
easiest.
