Just started investigating Code/400 last week and noticed this trick to edit
from PDM. Strangely enough the documentation says the first three
parameters should not be altered. But parameter 1 looks suspiciously like
the US English code page and parameter 3 reminds me of the default server
name of STRCODE. And indeed, when I look in the joblog of the STRCODE
session, I see compiles started by calls to EVFCFDBK with parameter 1 '500'
(which happens to be the code page we use) and parameter 3 'PTDS01' (which
is the server name I choose, because I am linked to several AS/400, so
taking the system name as server name looks more useful to me than 'OS400').
But anyway, so far I have not been able to start the editor this way. I did
see 'Dr. Watson for NT' generate a few error logs and had to manually kill
and restart the AS/400 session a few times.
