Re: Connecting UNIX through AS/400

Hi! Scott,

What I would like my application to do is convert my dtabase file to
stream file, then by socket programs (or through ftp as you are saying)
transfer it to UNIX. Vice versa is I want my application to connect to
UNIX, read a file, store it in stream file in AS/400 then convert it
into database file. 
Do I have to write socket programs or can FTP be used in the programs?

I also would like to connect to UNIX through my application program
from AS/400 and execute UNIX commands. How can this be achieved?

I shall be very much obliged if you could give me some useful
suggestions.
