Nothing could be further from the truth... it's a bit harder to implement 
sockets calls in RPG, but certainly possible.

There's a very good example of RPG sockets programming in a very recent 
issue of News/400 (within the last 3 months).  I suggest you check that out.

The OS/400 Sockets Programming manual isn't much help for RPG programming, 
but it's a good reference for the formats you need to use.

Finally, as you develop your code, talk to us (the folks in RPG400-L)... 
there are a number of sockets experts and people who have implemented 
sockets code in RPG (like myself).  We'll be happy to answer questions.
