Mohammad,

After you F10 to select the db fields you require , and you do not want
to see the remaining fields ,F6 and you will see the following screen,
where it says Delete all fields on bottom line ......type Y and enter.

I think this should sort out your problem.

        Record . . . :          SCRN1

        Type choices, press Enter.

        Activate indicators . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Y=Yes
        Indicators to be turned ON  . . . . . . . . .
01-99

        Indicators to condition all new

        fields and attributes . . . . . . . . . . .

        Show indicator setting for field  . . . . . .
Name
        Delete all fields on bottom line  . . . . . .               Y
Y=Yes
        Reference database fields . . . . . . . . . .           Y
Y=Yes
        Display in single-field mode  . . . . . . . .
Y=Yes

        F3=Exit   F12=Cancel

an annoying problem i'm having in sda
is that when i f10 to select db fields
to add to the screen i don't use all
the fields (on the 1st scrn) and when
i go into the next record format of
the same dspf, thoe remaining db fields
i did not use show up BUT i don't want
to use them i want to use new ones.
problem is that the new ones get mixed
up w/the old ones (they all have very
similar naming conventions)

is there anyway to clear the initial
field-choose-list once i've picked and
applied all the fields i'm interested in?

Mohammad
