I want to be able to format a single 8 byte field into 2 fields
dynaically. Our application needs to be able to handle different
postcodes in the world. Eg in Australia we have a 4 digit postcode, in
the UK we want to be able to accept 4 byte and 3 bytes separated by a
blank in the same single 8 byte field, and do this 'on-the-fly'. I know
you can use start and end attribute characters in the output stream and
I thought perhaps we could use %edtwrd to place this character in the
stream. I don't know where to find the hex values for these characters.
They're not in the DDS manual. And I don't know how to place a hex value
into the %edtwrd.

I know of a product called Dynamic Screen Manager, but can you use it's
function in a normal DDS stream?

Sorry for being complicated. This could be of interest to others who are
developing Global software.

Ta very much.
