  • Subject: RPGIV, imbedded SQL, remote connect via DRDA over IP problem.

I have a problem, and was wondering if anyone else has run into it.

as stated in the subject, I've got a situation where, in an SQLRPGLE program
where I am running various SQL statements on a local database, as well as a
remote database. The remote database is using DRDA over TCP-IP.

The problem is when (after accessing the local database) I try to connect and
access the remote database, the connect works fine, but the select returns an
SQL0805, which sez: SQL package *n in *n not found

If no access to the local database is done first, the remote connect and access
works just fine.

I know I could access the local database using traditional rpg opcodes, but a
lot of the programs for the application have already been written using sql
gets, and I'd like to remain consistant.

Any ideas? - the 400 with the remote database does not have the SQL product
installed.

Thanks
