Any AID key will return the value of the field to your program except CAxx. 
 For instance, if you define CF22 in your DDS, your program will get all 
the data if you press CF22 or Enter.  If you define it as CA22, your 
program will not get the data, only the command key indicator.

If the program is written like:

EXFMT
IF CF03 GOTO END
* process data

then the program itself it discarding the data by going to END before 
processing.  If it is written:

EXFMT
*process data
IF CF03 GOTO END

then the program processes the data first, then goes to END. 

Very often, it is a good idea to press Enter and verify the data before 
pressing an update key.  If you wish to skip the two-step process, why not 
eliminate the update key, and simply update when the user presses Enter?
