Betreff: Problems with embedded SQL in RPG

Hello RPG users!:
I am trying to use embedded SQL in RPG IV for the first time.
I did the following procedures:
1. CRTSRCPF FILE(Y10PDDBVAL/QRPGLESRC) RCDLEN(112) TEXT('Source physical file
   for RPG Procedures')
(This was run from the command line)

2. Run STRPGMMNU and use option 8(edit a source file member)
   Parameters used were:
        Source library: Y10PDDBVAL
                   file: QRPGLESRC
       Object library: Y10PDDBVAL
                  type: RPGLE
        Member name(program name): EMBEDSQL

3. In SEU I entered the following:(TRIANGLE is the name of a simple test
table to use SQL on).
        C/Exec SQL
        C+ Update Y10PDDBVAL/TRIANGLE
        C+ Set WIDTH=13
        C+ Where CATEGORY='T'
        C/End-Exec

4. Finally, I executed the following CL command to create a program object:
        CRTSQLRPGI OBJ(Y10PDDBVAL/EMBEDSQL) SRCFILE(Y10PDDBVAL/QRPGLESRC)
SRCMBR(EMBEDSQL)

        I get the error messages:
"Compilation stopped. Severity 40 errors found in program"
"Compilation failed. Program EMBEDSQL not created in library
Y10PDDBVAL".

I would much appreciate if someone with experience doing this type of
procedure could help me.

        Thanks,
        Tony Mallozzi
