If the RPG is simply reading the selected records input primary,
1) Use the ORDER BY clause of SQL to order the records as they are 
selected.

If the RPG needs to CHAIN/SETLL the selected records by key,
1) Skip the CRTDUPOBJ/SQL bit and use OPNQRYF.
2) Skip the CRTDUPOBJ/SQL bit and use embedded SQL in your RPG program.
