I have a pile of micros; I won't list them all. The Pi stands out
because it's a really real Linux computer that you can hook a keyboard,
mouse, Ethernet, and monitor to in order to program it.

If other micros have put you off your feed, the Pi is a more familiar
environment for us midrangers.
