Something is not clear to me. If someone calls you who isn't in your phone contacts, do you see the number or their name (from some directory)?

Also, why wouldn't you answer a phone call if it's someone you don't know?

If I get a cell phone call from an unknown number (= number is displayed instead of the caller name, meaning it's not in my contact list), I answer it, unless I'm abroad, in which case roaming charges apply. If someone calls me, they're paying.

Or is this different in the US, and do you have to pay all received calls?

Unsurprisingly no message was left.

Normally I only answer identified calls; that is, those where the name is displayed. There are rare exceptions, but never for something like this, or 'Anonymous,' or 8xx numbers. I figured this one was something like the ones that show up as 'Anonymous.'
