You can also do Start | Run (Or Windows Key & R) and type WindowsUpdate.Log It will open the update log in Notepad. PITA to read thru but it is there.

In Win7 just run Windows Update & click on "View update history" in the
lower part of the body of the panel. It lists the update, date, and
whether or not it succeeded.
