Mac - nothing else I've ever used comes close.

Has all of the basic stuff you need built in. Runs Windows better
than most PCs. Just all round better engineered.

I don't understand that argument. We do have a Macbook in our house that
belongs to my wife that I use once in awhile and I don't see anything
special about it. It's got a screen, keyboard, DVD drive, and USB ports.
I've got those on my Dell laptop that cost lot less. In fact, I'd argue
that my Dell has a more solid construction than the Mac. I even have an
eject button on my optical drive (woo hoo!) The Mac runs OSX and can run
run Windows in a virtualized environment. I've gotten OSX to run in a
virtualized environment on my Dell. Granted, Windows doesn't come with
Garage Band or iMovie, but come to think of it, don't you need to buy
iLife to get those for a Mac?

I'm not saying that Mac's are bad. I just question the value of the
premium price. If you believe Google it's a moot argument because
everything is going to run in a browser in "the cloud" anyway...
