As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Search suggestions are what crops up when you start typing a query on,
for example, www.google.com, as suggestions with expected number of
results. This feature has been integrated into the IE search bar on
the top right, just like in all other major browser (Firefox, Safari,
Opera). You can easily disable this feature by disabling search
suggestion. The data will be sent to the search engine you configured,
which may or may not be Microsoft's Live search.

Accelerators are also fully configurable, they allow direct usage of
text elements or pictures in other web services. These services, as
the search service, are completely user configurable - you can select
which services you want to use, or you can disable the accelerator
feature all together, by disabling it's visibility and removing the
accelerator providers from the accelerator settings menu.
