That's the confusion alright. I was actually looking for both...the ability to run Windows Server 2008 AND Windows Vista and/or Windows XP on the same hardware. That was my original question.

Just that there's not misunderstanding: The System x3400 and x3500 are
servers, although in the rather unusual tower configuration.

If you're looking for a Workstation (which i can't really discern -
you're looking at WS 2008, but also a "PC"), then Lenovo is the right
company to talk to. Their ThinkStation line might support WS 2008.
