Maybe in your experience ... my experience has been different.

To my mind, if you buy a device and it doesn't specify a maintenance fee after the initial warranty period, things like firmware updates & software bug fixes should be free.

If a company wants to have a maintenance fee after the initial warranty, they need to make it clear when you purchase it.

Regardless, they need to factor support & maintenance into their business plan from the outset.

Besides, looking at the comments it looks like the policy was already
repealed.
