Hi Jerry,

IIRC the licence key on the buttom is for Vista.

As you have downgraded to XP you have another
licence key - you might not know !!!

I found my licence key for XP using a free (??) SW called
Keyfinder (.exe) Excelent tool for finding other licences from
MS too.

Thanks Walden,

I would only use Vista on that laptop, so that is not a problem. The only
license key I see anywhere is on the holographic sticker on the bottom of
the laptop and it has the key on there. Not sure if it applies only to XP
or to both XP and Vista. I'll take a better look at it tonight. (Note to
self - write it down somewhere for safe keeping!)

"The only people that can definitively answer MS licensing questions is
MS. :-)"

I was afraid of that (but I'll give it a go ;)

Regards, Jerry
