I got a DLink DNS-323* a couple of weeks ago for about CAD$190 (no drives come with it). It has 2 SATAI slots, 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet, and support for RAID0, RAID1, NFS, SMB, FTP. It also has some nice multimedia server functionality. It runs Linux, so if the standard functionality doesn't cut it you can install other software** too.

I'm quite happy with it so far. The only thing that I found rather annoying is that it insists on reformatting the drives that you put in it.
