The way I understand what you are trying to do:

If:
Column "A" cell A1 is formatted CYYMMDD and contains a valid date
Column "B" cell B1 is formatted number (or general) and contains a number
Column "C" cell C1 is formatted CYYMMDD and contains formula =SUM(A1+B1)

Should produce CYYMMDD date contained in cell A1 incremented by the number
of days in cell B1

Which version of excel are you using?
Is the Date Format CYYMMDD a valid format in your version of excel?

What result have managed to get, if any?

I have Excel 2000 and in customising the field to CYYMMDD my date 14/12/2008
appears as c081214 but does increment correctly to c081221

Subject: [PCTECH] MS Excel - Adding (n,nnn) days to a CYYMMDD date

GM all:

I have a date value in CYYMMDD format in column "A" and I also have number
of days in column "B". I just want to have a new date calculated based on
these 2 factors and I also wanted in the CYYMMDD format.

How I do it?

TIA,
