Yep, everything shows just fine with IPCONFIG /ALL and as I noted in my
original post I can ping the iSeries just FINE from there but NOT connect to
it with the Synapse emulation software. Argh... And then I can't get to the
internet via IE either. To me this makes absolutely NO sense... :-)
Try start Internet Explorer and look at Tools - > Internet Options -> Connections to see if there are any strange stuff there. Most notably if there is a proxy server hidden deep down there somewhere. Those settings are global!
