I've seen file transfer kits at the computer store ... although I don't
think XP 'just knows' how to use it.

Why not network? All you would need is a simple switch or crossover
cable to connect the systems.


I guess my definition of "networking" is a bit skewed; to me it means
"intervening" hardware, like a router. I was in MicroCenter last night and
found a cross-over cable.

But I'd still have to set up a network on both PC's, right?
