We use IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager, or TSM. Several people in the
midrange market may have paid for it already and don't realize they have a
license for it.

6) Will Tivoli Storage Manager continue to be shipped with the iSeries
Enterprise Edition?
Tivoli Storage Manager is currently shipped with the iSeries Enterprise
Edition. Customers that have obtained TSM through purchase or through the
Enterprise Edition can continue to use TSM on i5/OS as is. If they want
the current version of TSM (5.3 ) they are entitled to it through Passport
and can request the media through Passport. We are continuing to ship the
i5/OS version of TSM through 2Q 2005. The new version of TSM on Power
Linux is available to all Enterprise Edition customers through Passport
after they register their Enterprise Edition at:

Rob's comments: The i5/OS version is obsolete and not supported on V5R4
of i5/os. You'll want to host it on AIX, Linux or some flavor of Windows.
We are using a Suse Linux lpar on an iSeries. Last I knew they were
still allowing you to download the most current version if you bought
Enterprise Edition.

Just this week had someone speak to our LUG about TSM.

Quite an active list at
