Try Tools, Options, View Tab

Under Print and Web Layout options I'll bet the Text Boundaries is checked,
uncheck it

I've just got a new work laptop PC with Microsoft Word 2003 (11.6568.6568)
SP2. The weird thing is that in Print Layout View there are these grey
90-degree brackets in the corners of the document denoting the
margins. My
school laptop also has Word 2003 but doesn't have these brackets. It's at
(11.6502.6408) SP1. I haven't decided if I like these things yet or not
but I'd like to know if there's an option to turn them on and off, or at
least know what the name is for them so I can search the help text. Are
they something that got added in the updated service pack? I've looked
around but haven't found anything so far. Maybe I'm just seeing
things. I
know that I need new glasses...
