Changing K9 is not an issue - I know how to do that - but where the beep
have MS hidden it in Outlook 2003?  I have been looking for it for over 30

I personally don't use Outlook. I don't recommend Outlook. And highly recommend getting away from Outlook. Outlook is the main carrier for most viruses in the world. While there are a few viruses created for other programs like MS Word and other OS's like Mac and *nix most all viruses are spread with Outlook. My recommendation is get a different email program. I don't want to get into an email war so I won't mention any. If you are interested email me privately. <\Soap Box>

The answer to your question was presented on this topic before by John. Here is what he said:

You can up the timeouts.  I had to do this to give my anti-spam filter
enough time to dump the hundreds of spams I get a day at home.

Tools - Email accounts - View/change existing - (pick an account) -
Change.. - More settings.. -  Advanced tab and up the server timeout
slider.
