Apparently, I have the choice of WPA2 as well as WPA & WEP. So, I tried
WPA2 first, but the laptop just was not establishing a connection. Then I
tried WPA, had to let XP on the laptop "repair" the connection and
everything works fine now. Does WPA2 require some special hardware on the
wireless devices?

Did not get a chance to fiddle with DHCP and other diddles. I might stick
yet another router I've had sitting in the basement, a D-Link DI-704, into
the mix. For all that, I'll wait until Friday afternoon.

Thanks again,
Dan
