Sorry, I just signed up with SunRocket at https://www.sunrocket.com/.
$199 a year and they give you the VOIP gizmo and a 2-handset cordless
phone. If anyone decides to sign up, I can get a referral as well; send
a private email for the #. Check their feature set if you're
considering Vonage. Seemed to me like they offered more features for
less expense.

Landline: I'll give it up with glee. I have both my and my wife's cel
phones as fall-backs. And SunRocket will provide my full address to 911
if needed.

Dual-line phone: I've had a 2-line, 9-handset (corded base + 8 cordless
handsets) Siemens Gigaset for about 4 years now and it's been basically
flawless. 4 digital voicemail boxes, each handset has it's own dialing
directory, etc.

Subject: [PCTECH] What phone(s) to get with vonage and a land line?

What phone(s) to get with Vonage and a land line?

I just installed Vonage. What an easy change!

However I am uncomfortable with giving up my regular phone line just
yet, so I need to have a new 2-line phone system, and a whip to beat
people when they use the land line for long distance.

What 2-line phones would you people suggest? Or, do you have an
alternative suggestion?

(btw, if you are thinking of adding Vonage, get a referral from David or
me. It gives us a free month of service.
