Hopefully, I'll have time to download and install Thunderbird at home. I
don't have any email accounts from my ISP, so everything is web-based. I
use Yahoo (old) and gmail (new). I understand it's possible to (need right
term here) "connect" gmail to a local client (i.e., Thunderbird) so that I
don't have to go the mail.google.com website to access it. SMTP & POP3 come
to mind; does gmail "let" us do that? Anybody using Thunderbird to access
(retrieve & send) gmail?

BTW, as an aside, I absolutely love gmail for the midrange.com lists! The
threading is awesome, and I understand TBird offers the same thing.
