Re: switching WinXP licenses on two PCs




Since the subject of install CD's keys, etc. is being discussed, I seem to
remember that the key is saved in a registry entry somewhere.  I've got XP
Pro installed on three PC's at home.  One of the CD's I stuck a post-it
note on to indicate which PC it belonged to.  The other two got filed away
before I thought to do that.  Where do I look to match the PC with the CD?
(Assuming that it matters which CD is which)
