RE: XP Start Menu Programs

Oh, my fault.  I just checked my start menu settings and it is set to use 
the Classic Start Menu so that's why it worked for me.  For the default XP 
start menu, just right click on the item you want to add and select "Pin 
to Start Menu" or as others have said you can drag and drop.
