I've had nothing but good experiences with my Dell's, 1 Inspiron and 2
Dimensions, bought by my employer but for private use.

Replacement parts have always been delivered the next business day, even
though they offered to pick up the pc and do the repairs for me. DUH,
like I'm going to send it off for a week when I can do it myself in 15
minutes. On the other hand, there was the time when I needed to replace
the little thingy that keeps the DVD player from falling out of the
Inspiron (a latch maybe 2 centimeters long), and I had to take the whole
bloody thing apart...

Of course, I'm talking about Dell Belgium here...

Just my two euro-cents.

"Send it in and we'll replace the hard drive"? Are you exaggerating
here? I've had a few drives fail on Dell laptops and they've always
been customer replaceable items.
