Yep, maybe I wasn't clear. I can get it to boot up fine, except for the
screen issues. Weird, eh ?

I posted the on Experts-Exchange (if you aren't familiar with it, you are
missing a GREAT tool http://www.experts-exchange.com/) and have gotten some
interesting things from there too.

Can you borrow a bootable CD from someone?  Or make one at work?  You don't
care what it boots, just see if anything will boot.
