No. No reason at all. I have a few systems I do that with 
where I don't care that it takes an extra minute to boot.

I don't think this is the problem since I created a small partition which
contains only the swap file.  But I'll give this a go anyway.  Any reason
why you couldn't just delete the swap file at every reboot?
