if you are thinking of driving this from the as400, can 
you ftp to the pc (does the pc have "server" ftp function?
- a desktop pc normally only has client ftp, but a Windows
"server"  will have client & server)
your clp on the 400 can ovr the output file from ftp
and issue a cmd to read a directory on the pc. I have an 
example of this on a system i can't get to right now, but 
it allows me to check to see if their server has new files
ready for me to download. Then use whatever
on as400 to print (rpg, cpyf, qry, etc)
