(And a modified version to import to DB2) what I found was is was exported as 
one type of
field (character or numeric can not remember which) but the fields the user 
keyed over
came back as the opposite. It looked the same when Excel was displaying it. I 
just
changed my program to handle the difference. But I assume what you will have to 
do is
click on the row and format the cell that should make them all the same.
