Vern Buerg has a utility called LIST http://www.buerg.com/  If you're averse to 
downloading, you can use the DOS DEBUG command.  

debug filename.ext
d (dump - hex on the left, ASCII on the right)
d 0100 (dump starting at address 0100)
(repeated d commands advance through the file)
q (quit)
