I've tried it ... but the network was already setup.


PS: Even though you know a lot about networks XP needs to go through the Wizard to get it's ducks lined up.

Of course if you go into Start, My Computer, View system information, Computer Name you see something besides Full computer name and the same Workgroup as you have on your other computers.

I upgraded from Win2K ... so all the system, workgroup, and domain names are the same.


Of course you have re-booted all PC's since starting up the XP network.

Many times.


It has to be something simple.

I'm sure it is ... it's just not obvious :)
