You've made a lot of good points. I've worked for and done business
with a number of ISVs that developed Windows based applications and J2EE
based applications, for various reasons, which tend to move workloads to
other platforms. I developed Windows applications for about 5 years.
However now I'm developing ILE language based applications and using the
native runtime environment of the System i to deploy Web applications
and I believe there's a good chance that the System i could experience
something of a renaissance because it's such a great platform for Web
applications.
