Whatever you think, outsourcing is not going to go away because we stopped
one guy from contributing at COMMON. And from what I have seen, Rajan has a
willingness to contribute - something rare in a world of poor-me and
what-is-in-it-for-me.

I know you have been personally affected by outsourcing, and that makes you
less open to a global world. But wouldn't the world be a better place if we
stopped all this "USA is better - go home" stuff? Right now, India's
standard of living is improving - but they have got a long way to go to
catch up to what we are lucky to have in America. Spreading the global
wealth means more people - on the planet - will have more.

And, for what it is worth, one of the current board members at COMMON is
spreading rumors and starting gossip like you see in kindergarten. This is
not a normal situation, and is not one of the current slate of candidates.
It is so disappointing to see the professionalism of the organization dying
from the inside while this is going on. It would be nice to have someone of
Rajan's professional attitude on the COMMON board. If we keep slamming the
ones who have the right attitude, then we will never get rid of the ones who
are in it for their own personal glory.

Get a grip, man - Texas should have calmed you down :-)

Didn't the committee get the message last year? Am I missing something here?
To this simple guy, endorsing an outsourcer flies in the face of COMMON's
goal of educating programmers in this country. Yeah, I know that there are
COMMON groups in other parts of the world, but they are separate entities.

I swore that I was done with COMMON after 25 years as a volunteer, but I'm
going to rejoin today so that I'll be able to cast my vote for Dan, Bob, and
Wayne.
