I didn't do it but a client I was at once hired a security consultant.
He decided that only certain people needed access to any STR* or END*
commands.

I was the one who actually found it when I tried to do a STRDBG, but
then operations hit him hard as they couldn't start or end any
writers!!!

Well, yes and no. Told the users about it, but most of us know how much
effect that has. This was on a Public Safety system (police, fire, etc.)
around 1990. Learned my lesson well.
