Hi Folks,

OK, I THOUGHT I had this all straight but now find out differently.

I have set up a ton of Windows NT desktops for TCP/IP. Have it down pat and
no problems.
Right Click on Network Neighborhood get the Network window, click on the
Protocols tab, click on TCP/IP Protocol and click on Properties and Specify
an IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway. Click on the DNS tab and
specify Host Name (we use this to control the Device Name in our Synapse
Emulation product). Specify the Domain and add two entries into the DNS
Search Order.

I (think) I do this in Windows 2000 and we get the Synapse Emulation session
up just fine. Internet Explorer hits the internet just fine, but Outlook
cannot find our mail server.

As I go into Windows 2000 and check the Network Connections, and everything
there appears fine, but there is no place to specify the Domain name (and I
think that MIGHT be the problem ?).

So I went into Control Panel/System/Network and there is a place to specify
a Domain and it is set to Workgroup and if I try to specify the Domain name
that works in Windows NT this does not work so I might be off with this.

Any ideas ?

Thanks !

Chuck
