I'm not going to argue it with you, but in a firewalls email list that I
participate in, where there is as much emphasis on stopping unauthorized
outbound traffic as there is on stopping unauthorized inbound traffic, the
story is very different than what you are telling.  What you are saying
would be true IF you turned off the optional "features" that are on by
default.

Since there is no way I'm installing XP, I obviously can't speak from
personal experience.
