Hi folks,

Need some clarification here...

Our AS/400 620-2179 is on a UPS. We had a power surge or something this
morning (lights did there thing VERY quickly) and latter I noticed this
on QSYSOPR:

CPF181A - System power failed at 011218115026.
The system's power failed and power was switched to internal batteries.

CPI097A - System power restored at 011218115030.
The system's power source failed and was switched to run on internal
batteries for 4 seconds. The system remained powered during this time,
and no recovery is necessary.

This DOES mean that the UPS did it's thing ?

The wordage makes it sound like it was relying on the battery backup in
the AS/400 (?).

Thanks,

Chuck
