We do a nightly save.
We do a daily recovery report.

Nightly control group looks like
Weekly Retain Save
Backup List ASP Activity Object While
Seq Items Type Device SMTWTFS Detail Active

10 *EXIT *DFTACT
20 *EXIT *DFTACT
30 *SAVSECDTA *DFTACT *NO
40 *SAVCFG *DFTACT *NO
50 *ALLUSR *SYSBAS *DFTACT *OBJ *LIB
60 QRY* *SYSBAS *DFTACT *OBJ *LIB
70 *ALLDLO *DFTACT *NO *YES
80 *LINK *ALLAVL *DFTACT *YES *YES
90 *EXIT *DFTACT
100 *EXIT *DFTACT
110 *EXIT *DFTACT

The exits basically stop/start mimix and send out a message at the end so
you don't need to be concerned about them.

My PDF starts out with:
...
__ STEP 001 : Recover Licensed Internal Code
Start date/time __________________ Stop date/time __________________

You must recover the Licensed Internal Code.
To do so, you must follow the procedures for "Recovering the Licensed
Internal Code" as detailed in the "Recovering your system" topic.
Use the media listed for the *SAVSYS saved item to recover the
Licensed Internal Code.

That is just a little odd. It should be listing our September save, not
our June save. (we do full system saves quarterly.)

Darn you, now I have to check into this.

But at least ours does list that.
