Thanks for the replies on this. Issue was the IP address. This PC is not connected to our network and is a direct connection to one of the server nic ports so the IP address was a 192.168.x.x number and not one of the campus network IPs we have allocated to the other three nic ports. Stupid mistake that we should have caught ourselves without needing to ask.

Yes we use it this way.

You have to make sure you have the service host id set up correctly.

Our IBM i IP is 192.168.111.4 and our service host IP is 192.168.111.3

We do not use SSL.
