Yeah. If you are picky about the display, especially if you are
sensitive to fonts and font rendering, then you MIGHT have an issue
with ACS. I do. I can't really stand the display. The operating
system's font smoothing doesn't seem to apply to ACS, and text just
looks pixelated and ugly, no matter what font I try. It's actually
quite attractive by 1985 standards, but next to literally everything
else on my screen today, it is just butt-ugly.

If it were not for this issue, I would be fine switching from iSeries
Access to ACS.

Now, most people are not that picky and not very sensitive about these
things, and of those who are, only a portion of them are picky in the
same way that I am. So there is a good chance the display will be just
fine for you. And if that is the case, then I think you will find ACS
sufficiently functional, and superior in some ways to the older fat
client.
