Hi

I am currently looking through some performance data on a client machine
using the Investigate Data option in Navigator for i.

When I look at the "IBM Technology for Java Memory Overview" I see some
interesting stuff but I am tryign to get an understanding of one of the
items on there in particular: "Malloc (Break) Memory" - What does this item
relate to ?

The other items that show up on this chart are: "Current Heap Allocated";
"Heap in Use"; "Partition CPU Utilization"; all of which I can make some
kind of sense of, but I can't find a reference that indicates what "Malloc
(Break) Memory" refers to. The only thing I can think of is that the
application is doing some memory allocation and this metric shows me how
much memory the java apps have allocated using this approach, but I am
wondering if there is a more specific meaning in this context that tells me
what this item means.

Any pointers (!) welcome.
