For the Advanced Job Scheduler command SNDDSTJS, what is the maximum
length for the MSG parameter? Is it 5000 <<SNIP>>?

Yes, 5000. As verified with a test on IBM i 7.2 [aka v7r2], the effect
for a literal value longer than 5000 characters is the msg
CPD0074 "Value '.' for MSG exceeds 5000 characters."
